Theres nothing quite like making paintings from the landscape, responding directly to what you are seeing and experiencing. Working in this way is completely absorbing as the landscape never ceases to offer inspiration. Occasionally in Scotland there is even nice weather which makes the experience a total joy.

This week will optimistically take place outdoors, working from locations near Aberfeldy, only retreating indoors if it gets very wet. We’ll work in sketchbooks with drawing materials but also make larger scale drawings and paintings, all done in situ. Sun cream, coats and umbrellas recommended.
